Form Converter: Software Requirements

To use the Microsoft Outlook HTML Form Converter, you need to have certain software installed. As described here, the software needed for converting Microsoft Outlook forms differs from that needed for running Web forms.

For Converting Forms

In the environment in which you convert forms using the Form Converter, you need to have installed Microsoft Outlook 97 (version 8.03 or later), or Microsoft Outlook 98. The order of installation is significant; be sure to install the Form Converter after installing Microsoft Outlook. When you run the Form Converter, you will be asked to choose a Microsoft Outlook profile if you use more than one profile on your computer.

For Running Converted Forms

Because converted forms are run through Microsoft Outlook Web Access, they require the environment in which Outlook Web Access itself is run. To complete this environment, you need the following:

• Microsoft Exchange Server Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.5 and Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.5 Service Pack 1 are required.
• Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA) The required version of Microsoft Outlook Web Access is distributed with Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.5 Service Pack 1. For the software requirements of Microsoft Outlook Web Access, see its product documentation.
• Internet browser Forms converted by the Form Converter can be run on a client computer using any browser that can run Microsoft Outlook Web Access.
