Turn on POP Access Before Connecting to Your Gmail Account
Before you connect to your Gmail account from your cloud-based account, you need to enable POP access by signing in to your Gmail account.

This feature may not be available for your account.
How do I enable POP access for Gmail?
Sign in to your Gmail account.
Click Settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
Under POP Download, select one of the following options:
Enable POP for all mail (even mail that's already been downloaded) If you select this option, all old and new e-mail will be downloaded to your cloud-based account.
Enable POP for mail that arrives from now on If you select this option, only new e-mail will be downloaded to your cloud-based account.
You can also choose to keep a copy of your e-mail in your Gmail account.
Click Save Changes.
What else do I need to know?
If you want all mail to be downloaded, make sure you've selected the Enable POP for all mail (even mail that's already been downloaded) option.
If you want Gmail to keep a copy of your mail in your Gmail inbox, select Keep Gmail's copy in the inbox under Settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP > POP Download > When messages are accessed with POP.
