Open a Task

Applies to: Office 365 for professionals and small businesses, Office 365 for enterprises, Microsoft Exchange, Live@edu

If you don't use the reading pane, you need to open a task to view all details. For more information about the reading pane, see Arrange Items.

How do I open a task?

  1. In the Navigation Pane, click task Tasks.
  2. Find the task you want to open and highlight it.
  3. Open the task by double-clicking it, highlighting it and pressing ENTER, or by highlighting it and clicking signature Edit on the toolbar.
    You can also view a task by using the reading pane.
  4. If you make changes, click save Save and Close or press CTRL+S before closing the task form browser window. To close the task without saving any changes, click Close on the task form browser window.
