When you sign in to Outlook Web App, you may get this error in your Web browser if you're running Internet Explorer 7 or a later version.

Liveld authentication code has returned error 0x8004920a, indicating that there is a problem with your server configuration. Please check the Application Event Log for detailed information and correct the problem.

How do I fix the problem?

  1. Click Tools > Delete Browsing History.
  2. In the Temporary Internet Files section, select Delete files.
  3. In the Cookies section, select Delete cookies.
  4. Click Yes when you're prompted to delete.
  5. Sign in to your e-mail by opening a new browser window.
