Create a Voice Mail Contact on a Sprint Motorola Q9C
Applies to: Office 365 for enterprises, Microsoft Exchange
To make it easier to dial the Outlook Voice Access number from your mobile phone, you can create a contact. The contact lets you set up your phone for speed dialing without changing the number you call to access your voice mail.

The following section includes general steps for creating a contact.
How do I create a contact for voice mail?
- If your phone is running Windows Mobile, you'll need to create a new Outlook contact. If your phone isn't running Windows Mobile, you can either create and save the contact on your mobile phone, or create and save the contact to your SIM card. For details about how to save a contact to a SIM card, see the user's manual that came with your mobile phone.
- From your home screen or from the Settings menu, add a new contact, and then use the keypad to enter the name you want to use for the contact, something like "Outlook voice mail" or "Voice Mail".
- In one of the phone number boxes, enter the Outlook Voice Access number that's located in Voice Mail Account Information on the Voice Mail tab, and then press Done.
You can also use one of the following resources to help you to create a voice mail contact on your mobile phone:
- The user manual for your mobile phone
- The My Sprint page on the Sprint Web site
- The Support Overview page for your phone on the Sprint Web site
- The Sprint Wireless Forum Web site
What else do I need to know?
- There are two types of contacts: contacts on your mobile phone and personal Contacts in Outlook Web App.
- You can create a personal Contact using Outlook Web App or Outlook and then set up your mobile phone to copy your contacts to your mobile phone using Exchange ActiveSync.
