Choose the Order of Voice Mail Messages

Applies to: Office 365 for enterprises, Microsoft Exchange

You can choose the order in which you want to hear voice mail messages read when you're using Outlook Voice Access. After you make this choice, unread voice messages will be played from the newest to the oldest or from the oldest to the newest.

How do I choose the order in which new voice mail messages are read?

  1. In Outlook Web App, click Options > Phone > Voice Mail tab.
  2. Under Outlook Voice Access, click one of the following options:
    1. From newest to oldest - Your voice messages will be read to you over the phone starting with the newest message.
    2. From oldest to newest - Your voice messages will be read to you over the phone starting with the oldest message.
  3. After you've clicked one of the options, click Save.

What else do I need to know?

  • You can also listen to e-mail messages and calendar items, or access your personal Contacts, by calling in to Outlook Voice Access.
  • The phone number for Outlook Voice Access is included in the welcome e-mail message for Unified Messaging. However, if you've deleted this e-mail message, you can find the phone number by going to Options > Phone > Voice Mail tab. The phone number is listed in the Outlook Voice Access section.
