Remarks

PrinterPrimaryStateReason contains the most important reason listed in the PrinterStateReasons element for why the printer is in its current state. The relative importance of all current reasons is based on the implementation of the WSD Print Service. As a general rule, a condition's severity can be used to determine its importance. Specifically, a severity of Critical would be more important than Warning, which in turn is more important than Informational.

The WSD Print Service informs a client about changes to the printer's status by sending a PrinterStatusSummaryEvent event. A client can directly query the printer's state by calling the GetPrinterElementsRequest operation.
