StartForefrontSystemMonitoringAgentService Method of the IFPCServer4 Interface

The StartForefrontSystemMonitoringAgentService method starts the Forefront Protection Manager Monitoring agent service on the server.

fWaitUntilComplete
Boolean value that specifies whether the method waits for the operation to complete before returning S_OK or an error. The default value is VARIANT_TRUE.

This method returns S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, it returns an error code.

This method has no return values. If the call is unsuccessful, an error is raised that can be intercepted by using an error handler.

The service name of the Forefront Protection Manager Monitoring agent is FPMAgent.

Call the StopForefrontSystemMonitoringAgentService method to stop the Forefront Protection Manager Monitoring agent service on the server.
