Turn timeline snapping on or off (Blend for Visual Studio)

Timeline snapping affects how far the playhead jumps when you click the Go to previous frame Go to previous frame or Go to next frame Go to next frame buttons, and how closely together you can position keyframes on the timeline. If you want finer control when positioning keyframes, turn off timeline snapping. If you want to have your keyframes snap at specific time intervals (for example, snap to the closest tenth of a second), turn on timeline snapping, and change the snap resolution.

To turn timeline snapping on or off

  1. Select the timeline from the Storyboard picker by clicking Open a Storyboard JJ155086.d4531c86-5048-481c-a1ca-29af202d28e7(en-us,VS.110).png in the Objects and Timeline panel, and then selecting a storyboard.

  2. Click the snapping toggle button JJ155086.d4a3eb40-55f9-4120-9ba0-acc90a465828(en-us,VS.110).png.

You might also want to change the snap resolution to specify the snapping intervals per second.
