Expand or collapse a legend section

Double-click the heading of a legend section (such as Populated Places or Boundaries) to expand or collapse that section.

Click the plus sign plus sign to expand and the minus sign minus sign to collapse a section.

Notes

If you don't want a particular section of the legend to appear on your printed map or map that will be saved as a Web page, simply collapse it before you print or save.

You can also use the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard to expand and collapse legend sections. Use the up and down keys to select the heading you want to expand or collapse. The left arrow key collapses the selected section; the right arrow key expands it.
