About routes
MapPoint uses information you provide to calculate routes and driving directions that meet your specific needs. For instance, you can enter stops on your route in an exact order, optimize the stops on your route in order to minimize your trip travel time, schedule stops and your average driving day, set road-type and speed preferences, estimate travel costs, and view detailed route maps complete with driving directions.
The types of stops that you can add to your route include addresses, attractions and businesses, and Pushpins or other markers for data mapped as exact locations.
