Import a custom symbol

  1. On the Drawing toolbar, click the arrow next to Create Pushpin Create Pushpin button.

    Note  If the Drawing toolbar is not visible, on the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Drawing.

  2. Click Import Custom Symbol.

    Note  You may need to scroll up to see this button.

  3. In the Look in box, type or select the name of the folder that contains your custom symbol.

  4. Click the custom symbol file name in the list, and then click Open.

Your custom symbol is imported into MapPoint and added to the list of available symbols. You can use it just as you would any standard Pushpin symbol.

Tip  You can place icons, pictures, graphics, logos, or formatted text on your maps as visual elements by importing them as custom symbols. Simply import the custom graphic and place it anywhere on your map.
