Troubleshoot Microsoft Pocket Streets
I can't open a map on my Pocket PC.
Microsoft Pocket Streets must be installed on your Pocket PC to open maps exported from MapPoint. Check the version of Pocket Streets installed on your Pocket PC. On a Pocket PC, tap Tools and then tap About Pocket Streets. On other Pocket PCs, open Pocket Streets and tap About. If you have an earlier version of Pocket Streets installed, uninstall the older version, and then install Microsoft Pocket Streets.
The map (.mps) file may have been exported for use with Pocket Streets from MapPoint version 2001 or earlier. Export a new map of the same area from MapPoint 2004 or later.
If you have a Pocket PC, make sure the map (.mps) file that you exported from MapPoint is in the My Documents folder.
If you are trying to open a map (.mps) file stored on a compact flash card, make sure the map (.mps) file that you exported from MapPoint is in the My Documents folder.
Try exporting and copying a map of a smaller area.
My exported Pushpins don't appear on the map.
On your Pocket PC, make sure that the Pushpin (.psp) file is in the same folder and has the same file name as the corresponding map (.mps) file.
If there is no corresponding Pushpin (.psp) file on your Pocket PC, copy the Pushpin file from your desktop computer to your Pocket PC.
If there is no corresponding Pushpin (.psp) file on your desktop computer, export your map again from MapPoint, making sure that your Pushpins are within the selected area of the map.
To view Pushpins exported from MapPoint 2004, export a new map of the same area from the current version of MapPoint. Make sure the new map (.mps) file name and old Pushpin (.psp) file name are the same, and that these files are located in the same folder on your Pocket PC.
It takes a long time to find an address or place in Pocket Streets.
Try exporting and copying maps of smaller areas.
