Add a freeform shape or scribble

Note   To complete the following procedures, you must use the Drawing toolbar. If the Drawing toolbar is not visible, on the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Drawing.

Add a freeform shape

  1. On the Drawing toolbar, click Freeform Gg649918.ALLFreeform(en-us,MSDN.10).jpg.

  2. Do one or both of the following:

    • To draw freehand shape segments, drag the mouse on the map.

    • To draw a straight segment, click point to point.

  3. Do one of the following:

    • To end a shape and leave it open, double-click where you want it to end, or press ESC.

    • To close a shape, right-click it at any point, and then click Close curve.

Add a scribble

  1. On the Drawing toolbar, click Scribble Gg649918.ALLScribbleButton(en-us,MSDN.10).jpg.

  2. On the map, drag the mouse to draw your freeform scribble.

  3. Do one of the following:

    • To end a scribble and leave it open, release the mouse button.

    • To close a scribble, right-click at any point, and then click Close curve.
