Clear the map
You can have only one MapPoint map file open at a time. Therefore, to clear a map, you must replace it with a new map.
To save a map that you are clearing
Save any changes that you want to keep on the current map.
On the File menu, click New, and then double-click the template on which you want to base your new map.
To clear a map without saving it
On the File menu, click New, and then double-click the template on which you want to base your new map.
When you are prompted about whether you want to save changes to the current map, click No.
