Delete pushpins

You can delete pushpins a number of different ways, including:

  • Individual pushpins.
  • Groups of pushpins inside a selected area.
  • Groups of pushpins outside a selected area.
  • A named set of pushpins.

Delete a pushpin

  1. On the map, select the pushpin that you want to delete.

  2. Press DELETE.

Delete a group of pushpins inside or outside of a selected area

You can select a group of pushpins you want to delete. Or, you can select an area of pushpins you want to keep and delete all pushpins outside of the selected area.

  1. On the map, zoom to the area that contains the group of pushpins you want to delete or keep.

  2. Right-click and then drag your mouse over the area on the map that contains the pushpins. Make sure that the rectangle contains all of the pushpins that you want to keep or delete.

  3. Right-click inside the rectangle, and then, on the menu, do one of the following:

    • To delete all of the visible pushpins within the rectangle, click Delete visible pushpins inside area.

    • - Or -

    • To keep all of the pushpins within the rectangle and delete all other visible pushpins on the map, click Delete visible pushpins outside area.

    Note

    When you delete a group of pushpins inside or outside of a selected area on the map, hidden pushpins are not deleted. For more information on hiding pushpins, see Hide or show pushpin sets on the map.

Delete a named group of pushpins

  1. Make sure that the Legend and overview pane is displayed.

  2. Under Pushpins, right-click the name of the pushpin set that you want to delete.

  3. On the menu, click Delete.
