See your current location by using GPS
You can select GPS settings to track your current location, display a preferred map view, rotate the map as you travel, and create a trail of your GPS positions. You can also view the latitude and longitude coordinates of your current location.
See and track your current location by using GPS
On the Tools menu in MapPoint, point to GPS, and then click Start GPS tracking.

On the Standard toolbar, click GPS task pane .jpg "Gg674638.ALLGPSButton(en-us,MSDN.10).jpg")
, and then click Start/stop GPS tracking.
Note You must have already installed and configured your GPS receiver.
Choose a map view to use when tracking your location or when using the navigation feature
On the Tools menu, point to GPS, and then click Arrange map view.

On the Standard toolbar, click GPS task pane , click Start/stop GPS tracking, and then select the Arrange map view check box.
Note The Keep position centered option is selected by default when you first select the Arrange map view check box. If you prefer to have the map dynamically zoom to the best view as you approach turns, click Arrange map view, click Map view, and then click Use dynamic turn view. (The Use dynamic turn view option is available only if you are using the navigation feature.)
Configure the map to rotate to follow your travel direction
On the Standard toolbar, click GPS task pane , click Start/stop GPS tracking, select the Arrange map view check box, click Map view, and then select the Rotate map to follow travel direction check box.
Create a trail of your GPS positions as you travel
On the Tools menu, point to GPS, and then click Create GPS trail.

On the Standard toolbar, click GPS task pane , select Start/stop GPS tracking and then select the Create GPS trail check box. The trail remains visible on the map until you delete it by selecting the trail, and then pressing DELETE.
View the latitude and longitude coordinates of your current location
On the Tools menu, point to GPS, and then click Start GPS tracking.
Note You must start GPS tracking in order to see the latitude and longitude coordinates.

On the Standard toolbar, click GPS task pane . In the GPS pane, click Start/stop GPS tracking. The coordinates appear at the top of the GPS pane.
Latitude and longitude coordinates are also displayed in the lower-right corner of the screen. These coordinates change to reflect your current location as you move your mouse pointer across the map.
