How to: Verify Windows SharePoint Services Changes

You can verify that the Windows SharePoint Services plug-in creates the project portal correctly by creating a new team project and referring to the following procedure.

Required Permissions

If the necessary security permissions are set explicitly, then you must have the View project-level information permission on the team project set to Allow. You must also be a member of the Windows SharePoint Services Reader group. For more information, see Team Foundation Server Permissions.

To verify the project portal

  1. In Team Explorer, right-click the new team project, and choose Show Project Portal.

  2. In the project portal, click Documents and Lists in the top navigation bar.

  3. Examine the Document Libraries section and ensure that all of your document libraries were created.

  4. Click each document library and ensure that any folders and files that you specified appear correctly in their respective document libraries.
