DMessengerPrivateEvents::OnContactListAdd Event

Deprecated. Notifies a Messenger client that a contact has been added to the contact list.

Syntax

HRESULT OnContactListAdd(      
    long hr,
    IDispatch *pMContact
);

Parameters

  • hr
    [in] LONG that defines the error code for the operation.
  • pMContact
    [in] Pointer to an IDispatch World Wide Web link interface of a MessengerContact object representing the user that has been added to the contact list.

Return Value

Returns S_OK if successful, or an error value otherwise.

Event DISPID

DISPID_MUAE_ONLISTADD

The DISPID for this event is defined in msgrpriv.h. Use this value to identify the event handler when implementing IDispatch::Invoke.

Remarks

The same DISPID is defined on DMessengerEvents, and so the event also occurs on the Messenger object.

Important  DMessengerPrivateEvents::OnContactListAdd is no longer available in Windows Vista. See Windows Messenger for more information.
