Graphic Design for Wizard Art
Wizard art appears on the left side of wizard Welcome and Completion pages. The wizard art should be based on a symbol design that reflects the purpose or function of a particular wizard. For example, a wizard dealing with printers or printing might have a printer for the basis of its symbol design.
Also, wizard art should reinforce individual product branding through the use of color. Color appears in the watermark graphic on Welcome and Completion pages (see Figure 1a.)
3.1 Welcome and Completion Page Art
The wizard art relies on a symbol design to convey a specific message. This can be accomplished in two ways. In the first method, the primary symbol image is used twice: within the square bounding box and again in the watermark background behind the square (see Figure 1a). The second method employs two different symbol images to convey a specific message, and gives the user a better visual representation of purpose of the wizard. In Figure 1b, for example, the plus sign image in the square illustrates the action of 'add', and the watermark background image illustrates the main subject, a printer.
