Retrieving Object Information
In addition to retrieving device information, the WPD API provides a set of interfaces and methods that you can use to retrieve information for a given object. In general, object information retrieval can be divided into two categories, as described in the following table.
| Device Data | Description |
| Object Identifier | You can retrieve the object identifier that maps to a given persistent unique identifier. |
| Functional object identifiers | Each functional category supports one or more functional objects. |
