IWMSAuthenticationContext Interface
You can use the IWMSAuthenticationContext interface to authenticate a client, create an instance of an authentication plug-in, and provide account information. You must implement the methods in this interface when you create a custom authentication plug-in. The server calls the methods.
- Note This interface is available only on Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition; Windows Server 2003, Datacenter Edition; and Windows Server 2008.
In addition to the methods inherited from IUnknown, the IWMSAuthenticationContext interface exposes the following methods.
Method | Description |
Authenticate | Called by the server to verify client credentials. |
GetAuthenticationPlugin | Called by the server to retrieve a pointer to the authentication plug-in. |
GetImpersonationAccountName | Called by the server to retrieve the name of the Windows 2000 security user or group account that the authentication context simulates if authentication succeeds. |
GetImpersonationToken | Called by the server to retrieve the handle of the Windows 2000 security user or group account that the authentication context simulates if authentication succeeds. |
GetLogicalUserID | Called by the server to retrieve the logical user ID if authentication succeeds. |
