MSVidWebDVDAdm.ConfirmPassword Method

This topic applies to Windows XP Service Pack 1 or later.

The ConfirmPassword method tests whether the specified password matches the saved password.

Syntax

  VidWebDVDAdm
  .ConfirmPassword(
  strUserName As String,
  strPassword As String
) As Boolean

Parameters

strUserName

Specifies the user name as a String. This parameter is currently ignored, so use an empty string ("").

strPassword

Specifies a password as a String.

Return Values

This method returns a Boolean indicating if the passwords match.

Error Codes

If the property fails, Err.Number may be set to one of the following values.

Value Description
E_UNEXPECTED Unspecified error.
E_INVALIDARG Invalid password entered; probably too long.

Remarks

Currently, the user name is ignored on this and all related methods
