Audiopath List

The Audiopath list, shown in the following figure, contains the Standard Audiopaths and any audiopath files in the project tree. You can select one as the default configuration for playback. This audiopath will be used within the DirectMusic Producer environment but is not saved as part of any file unless specifically added to the component in the project tree. When you choose a default audiopath, the configuration is applied to all PChannels in a project, unless there is another audiopath file that is specifically set up to apply a different configuration to a PChannel.

Note Standard audiopaths are set to use PChannels 1 through 128 within DirectMusic Producer. Therefore, when using a standard audiopath, PChannels above 128 will be played silently. To use PChannels above 128, you must create a custom audiopath. Alternatively, a software developer can use DirectMusic API settings to access PChannels above 128 in a standard audiopath.
