The DFN element indicates the defining instance of a term, and the enclosed text is rendered in italics. This is an inline element and requires a closing tag.

Attribute Value Description
CLASS   Associates the element with a CSS style.
Note   Supported only for devices running Windows Mobile 2003 software or later.
ID   Uniquely identifies the element within a document.

STYLE   Provides the definition of the CSS styles used for this element.
