Query page descriptions

When creating a query page, you’ll need to enter a short and long description for the page. These descriptions may appear in the summary and task web parts, found on your center page.

Summary web part A summary web part provides information about portal pages that appear as second-level or third-level menu items inside a center. Query pages are typically second-level menu items. This means that the query page’s name and long description will appear in that center’s summary web part. The following illustration shows a summary web part.

**Task web parts   **A task web part provides users with a list of key tasks that they can perform inside a center. When a user selects a task, the page associated with the task is displayed. If you add a task for your query page, the query page’s short description will appear in the task web part. The following illustration shows a task web part.
