UpdateWindow

This function updates the client area of the specified window by sending a WM_PAINT message to the window if the windows update region is not empty. UpdateWindow sends a WM_PAINT message directly to the window procedure of the specified window, bypassing the application queue. If the update region is empty, no message is sent.

Parameters

  • hWnd
    Handle to the window to be updated.

Return Values

Nonzero indicates success. Zero indicates failure.

To get extended error information, call GetLastError.

Requirements

Runs on Versions Defined in Include Link to
Windows CE OS 1.0 and later Winuser.h   Coredll.lib, Winmgr.lib

Note   This API is part of the complete Windows CE OS package as provided by Microsoft. The functionality of a particular platform is determined by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and some devices may not support this API.
