Card Viewer overview

The Card Viewer is useful for displaying query results in a customized format. Each Card Viewer displays data returned from a query based on specific entity or group of entities. A Card Viewer that is used to display information about a customer would not be used to display information about an item or a vendor, since these would likely involve queries based on different entities.

Card Viewers can have status and action areas. These features are optional, and their visibility is specified during the implementation of the Card Viewer. The following illustration shows a Card Viewer.

A Card Viewer can subscribe to data published by other result viewers. For example, a Card Viewer can display details about a customer selected from a Primary Publishing List or a Rich List.
