Private objects

The owner of an object can choose to mark the object as Private. An object that is marked as Private can be accessed only by the user who created the object and by those who share the object. For example, if a salesperson has a private contact, the sales manager cannot read that contact unless the contact owner shares it with him or her. The setting Private is exposed only in the API; it is not exposed in the Microsoft CRM application.
