This property specifies or retrieves a value indicating whether to start playing the clip automatically.

Syntax

MediaPlayer.AutoStart

Possible Values

This property is a read/write Boolean containing one of the following values.

Value Description
true Default. The clip automatically starts playing when the FileName property is set or the Open method is called.
false The clip does not start until the Play method is called or the user clicks the play button.

Requirements

Version: Windows Media Player version 6.4.

Library: Use msdxm.ocx.

Platform: Windows 98 Second Edition or higher.
