This method asynchronously opens the clip with the specified name.

Syntax

MediaPlayer.Open(sTitleName)

Parameters

*  sTitleName*

String value representing the name of the clip to open, including its protocol, path, or HTTP URL.

Return Value

This method does not return a value.

Remarks

This method performs the same function as setting the FileName property, but it works asynchronously, allowing the calling application to continue performing tasks while the clip is being opened. Use the Cancel method to abort the Open method before the file is completely loaded.

Version: Windows Media Player version 6.4.
