How to: Connect a Prompt Database to a Web-based Voice Response Application

Before a Speech Control??can use a prompt, it must be provided with the location of one or more prompt databases. Use the Manage Prompt Databases dialog box to connect a prompt database to a Web-based voice response application.

Connecting a Prompt Database to a Web-based Voice Response Application

To connect a prompt database to a Web-based voice response application

  1. Right-click a Speech Control, and then click Manage Prompt Databases.

  2. Click Add.

  3. In the URL box, type the URL to the prompt database or browse to the .prompts file, and then click Open.

    Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 displays the location of the .prompts file in the Build window when it builds a prompt project.

  4. Click OK twice.
