IRecorder.RecordStarted Event

This content is no longer actively maintained. It is provided as is, for anyone who may still be using these technologies, with no warranties or claims of accuracy with regard to the most recent product version or service release.

Occurs when the recorder starts recording.

Namespace: Microsoft.SpeechServer
Assembly: Microsoft.SpeechServer (in microsoft.speechserver.dll)

Syntax

'Declaration
Event RecordStarted As EventHandler(Of RecordStartedEventArgs)
event EventHandler<RecordStartedEventArgs> RecordStarted

Remarks

If an error prevents the recorder from recording, the RecordStarted event is not raised. For this reason, developers should not depend on the RecordStarted event to occur unconditionally.

To obtain the duration of the recording, do not attempt to calculate the time difference between the RecordStarted and the RecordCompleted events; instead use the RecordingDuration property of the RecordCompletedEventArgs.
