Gets and sets the allowed authentication modes.
Namespace: Microsoft.Office.Interop.UccApi
Assembly: Microsoft.Office.Interop.UccApi (in microsoft.office.interop.uccapi.dll)
Syntax
'Declaration
Property AllowedAuthenticationModes As Integer
int AllowedAuthenticationModes { get; set; }
property int AllowedAuthenticationModes {
int get ();
void set (int value);
}
/** @property */
int get_AllowedAuthenticationModes ()
/** @property */
void set_AllowedAuthenticationModes (int value)
function get AllowedAuthenticationModes () : int
function set AllowedAuthenticationModes (value : int)
Property Value
A value of the LONG* (int, for a .NET application) type. The value maps into a member or a bit-wise combination of some members of the UCC_AUTHENTICATION_MODES enumeration.
Remarks
Valid authentication modes are defined in the UCC_AUTHENTICATION_MODES enumeration type. The UCC API chooses one of the allowed authentication modes to match the strongest authentication protocol the server uses in the challenge. When a failure occurs, the UCC API does not automatically fall back to a lesser secure authentication mode. The application can choose to fall back to a lesser secure authentication mode by excluding the bit of the higher authentication mode from the allowed authentication modes bitmap.
Win32 COM/C++ Syntax
HRESULT get_AllowedAuthenticationModes
(
LONG* plModes
);
HRESULT put_AllowedAuthenticationModes
(
LONG plModes
);
Note
In a Win32 application, the return value of a method or property is always an HRESULT value indicating the status of the call to the interface member. Any result of the operation is returned as a parameter marked with the [out, retval] attribute. In contrast, in a .NET application the HRESULT value indicating an error condition is returned as a COM exception and the [out, retval] parameter becomes the return value. For the UCC API-defined HRESULT values, see Error Codes.
Thread Safety
All public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread-safe. Instance members are not guaranteed to be thread-safe.
