For SearchParameter = n, a number, this method searches left to right and returns the leftmost n characters in the string. If SearchParameter is a string, it returns all of the characters to the left of the first occurrence of the search parameter string.

Availability

This method is available in the following object models: Microsoft® Outlook®, Collaboration Data Objects (CDO), and Microsoft ActiveX® Data Objects (ADO) .
