The DaysBeforeLogFileRemoval property specifies the number of days before log files are deleted from the server.

Syntax

Parameters

  • pVal
    Returns the value of the DaysBeforeLogFileRemoval property as a reference to a long.
  • Val
    Sets the value of the DaysBeforeLogFileRemoval property to the value of the long.

Remarks

The default value for this property is -1 (no removal).

A new log file is created for each day of server operation. The log files are named according to the day that data is logged in them.

If DaysBeforeLogFileRemoval is set to 2, then any log files created more than two days ago will be deleted.
