- Click Exchange Explorer.
- In the Authorization dialog box, enter your username, password, and the root URL to the mailbox store, public folders, or public folder tree.
Note The URL becomes UTF-8 encoded for sending in an HTTP request to Microsoft® Exchange Server 2003.
The following table lists examples of valid URLs to use with the Explorer.
Exchange store URL | Description |
---|---|
http://server1/exchange/username/ | A mailbox store. |
http://server1/public/ | The default public folder used by MAPI clients. |
http://server1/PFT1/ | A new public folder tree, established as a Virtual Directory. |
https://serverS/stocktrade/ | A URL to a secured server. |
http://server1/public/##SchemaURI## | The global Exchange store schema definitions. |
Note Mailbox stores do not initially have global schema definitions.
The URL can continue down the hierarchy to the node you want to work with. For example, to work with the public folder Poll, enter http://server1/public/Poll.
