Although both Microsoft® ActiveX® Data Objects (ADO) and Collaboration Data Objects (CDO) rely on the Exchange OLE DB (ExOLEDB) provider for access to items in Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 stores, the semantic behaviors of each are different in many respects. The following sections outline these differences.
