Syntax

Parameters

  • Start
    The starting date for a range in which to determine the first instance of a recurring appointment.
  • End
    The ending date for a range in which to determine the first instance of a recurring appointment.

Return Value

Returns S_OK if successful, or an error value otherwise.

Remarks

The range calculated by GetFirstInstance starts with the date and time of the first instance. It does not accommodate subsequent changes to the start time for that appointment. For example, if you set the start instance in GetFirstInstance to 3/10/2000 10 am, and later modify that appointment to start at 3/10/2000 2 pm, the GetFirstInstance range remains with the first instance at 3/10/2000 10 am.
