Working with user configuration objects by using the EWS Managed API 2.0

You can use the Exchange Web Services (EWS) Managed API to work with user configuration objects. User configuration objects are also known as folder associated items (FAIs).

You can search user configuration objects by setting the Traversal property to the Associated value. For examples that show how to perform searches, see Working with search by using the EWS Managed API 2.0.

Note

The user configuration objects feature is available in versions of Exchange starting with Exchange Server 2010.
