Lync 2010 Controls Reference

This topic introduces the Microsoft Lync 2010 Controls that are included in the Microsoft Lync 2010 SDK. Use Lync 2010 Controls to integrate Microsoft Lync 2010 features such as presence, instant messaging (IM) calls, voice calls, and search into applications.

The Lync SDK includes a collection of controls which provide component-level functionality that mimics the behavior of Lync 2010. There are two versions of each control, one designed for use in Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) application development, and one designed for use in Microsoft Silverlight application development.

Using these controls, developers can embed unified communications features into custom line-of-business applications and Web sites. The following controls are included in the Lync SDK.
