Add Detail Table Dialog Box

To access the Add Detail Table dialog box, select the project node in the Solution Explorer, then open the Project menu, and click Add New Item. Double-click the Add a Detail Table icon.

  • Main Table
    If there is more than one main table in your project, you can select the table you want to associate with the detail table.
  • Detail Table
    Select the table that you want to identify as a detail table. It will be associated with the table that you select from the Main Table list.
  • Related Columns
    This grouping displays how the tables that you selected earlier are related.
    • Main table   Displays the column in the main table that is linked to the detail table.
    • Detail table   Displays the column in the detail table that is linked to the main table.
