Add Item Errors

If you encounter problems adding items, you might have a duplicate name, invalid file format, or permissions problems. To add an existing item, you must have read permissions on the folder from which you are adding.

Not a valid file format

The item selected is not a valid type for this project. Please select another item.

This error message also applies to files that have one of the workflow extensions but were not created by the Microsoft® Office XP Developer. In addition, *.epw and *.wfd files that have been moved out of the Exchange store manually (for example, moved from the Exchange IFS to another location) will be considered in an invalid file format. (They only will contain common script then, and the project will not know what to do with them.)
