Range (PEL)
This function specifies an inclusive range from begin to end, relative to the specified member.
Member_Expression.Range(
Begin,
End
)
Parameter
- Member_Expression
A valid PerformancePoint Expression Language (PEL) expression that returns a member
- Begin
An integer expression that specifies the beginning of the range, in terms of the number of positions away from Member_Expression
- End
An integer expression that specifies the end of the range, in terms of the number of positions away from Member_Expression
Return value
A range of members from (Member_Expression + Begin) to (Member_Expression + End).
Remarks
The Range function is defined as Member_Expression.Lead(Begin):Member_Expression.Lead(End). For detailed reference information, see the topic Lead (PEL).
The PEL compiler can always generate SQL code for this function.
PEL cannot be used to reference user-created member views in non-time dimensions. To write a business rule that references a member view in a non-time dimension, use a native Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) implementation.
