CurrentMember (PEL)

This function returns the current member along a specified hierarchy during iteration.

Hierarchy_Expression.CurrentMember

Parameters

  • Hierarchy_Expression
A valid PerformancePoint Expression Language (PEL) expression that returns a hierarchy

Return value

This function returns the specified member.

Remarks

When you iterate through a set of hierarchy members, at each step in the iteration, the member being operated upon is the current member. The CurrentMember function returns that member.

The PEL compiler can always generate SQL code for this function.

PEL cannot be used to reference user-created member views in non-time dimensions. To write a business rule that references a member view in a non-time dimension, use a native Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) implementation.
