WebDAV/DASL Request and Response Syntax

All documents in Microsoft® SharePoint™ Portal Server are available from URLs. Searches for documents can be performed by using the SEARCH verb over Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) that uses World Wide Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning (WebDAV). In response to the search request, the server returns a text/xml entity that matches the DAV:PROPFIND response format.

Note
