RefreshConfigCache Method

The RefreshConfigCache method of the Administration service refreshes the configuration cache for the virtual server.

Parameters

VirtualServerId   The GUID for the virtual server.

AdminGroupChanged  true to specify that the administrator group has changed; otherwise, false.

Remarks

The RefreshConfigCache method is used to update the virtual server, or multiple front-end Web servers in the case of a server farm, when changes are made to the configuration database. A configuration refresh is required whenever changes are made to the configuration of the server farm or virtual server, such as when a quota template is created, but a refresh is not required when a site is created or modified.

The account that executes a request implementing this method must be a member of either the local administrators group on the server or the Microsoft Windows NT security group account that is identified as the SharePoint Administrator Group Account.

Example

The following code example refreshes the configuration cache of the virtual server.
