Use the New Remote Domain page of the New Remote Domain wizard to create a managed connection for a remote domain. When you create a remote domain, you can control mail flow with more precision, specify message formatting and policy, and specify acceptable character sets.
- Name
To create a unique name for remote domain, type a unique name in this field.
- Domain Name
To enter the SMTP domain that you want to establish as a remote domain, type the domain name in this field. For example, type contoso.com. The domain name may contain up to 256 characters.
- Include all subdomains
To include all subdomains of the domain, such as mail.contoso.com, select the Include all subdomains option.
- New
Click New to create the new remote domain.
