Edge Transport > Anti-Spam > IP Block List Properties > Blocked Addresses Tab > Add Blocked IP Address Range Dialog (RTM)

Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 will reach end of support on April 11, 2017. To stay supported, you will need to upgrade. For more information, see Resources to help you upgrade your Office 2007 servers and clients.

Applies to: Exchange Server 2007

Use the Add Blocked IP Address Range dialog box on the Blocked Addresses tab to add a range of IP addresses to the IP Block list for the local computer that has the Edge Transport server role installed and to specify a day and time when the IP Block list entry that you are creating will expire.

If you have more than one instance of the Edge Transport server role running in your organization, you must apply connection filter configuration changes to each computer.

  • Start Address
In this field, type the first IP address in the range as in the following example: 192.168.0.1.
  • End Address
In this field, type the last IP address in the range as in the following example: 192.168.0.254.
  • Expiration
You can specify a day and time when the IP Block list entry will expire, or you can set the entry to never expire. When the expiration time duration is reached, the IP Block list entry is disabled.
  • Never expire this address
Select this option to block an IP Block list entry until you manually remove the entry from the IP Block list.
  • Block until date and time
Select this option to block IP addresses from an ordinarily legitimate sender that was temporarily used to relay unwanted messages.
