Use the Completion page to confirm whether the new storage group was created successfully. Click Finish to complete the New Storage Group wizard.

A status of Completed indicates that the wizard completed the task successfully. A status of Failed indicates that the task was not completed. If the task fails, review the summary for an explanation, and then click Back to make any configuration changes.

For more information about creating a new storage group, see How to Create a New Storage Group.

The summary pane lists the following fields:

  • Management Shell command
This field lists the Exchange Management Shell command that was used to create the new storage group. If the task is successful, this text is displayed as Management Shell command completed. If the task fails, this text is displayed as Management Shell command attempted.

For more information about the New-StorageGroup cmdlet, see New-StorageGroup (RTM).

For more information about the Exchange Management Shell, see Using the Exchange Management Shell.

  • Elapsed Time
This field indicates the amount of time it took for the wizard to complete the task. If the elapsed time is 00:00:00, this indicates that the task took less than 1 second to complete.

Note

You can press CTRL+C to copy the text in the summary pane to the Clipboard. After the text has been copied to the Clipboard, you can paste it into a document or screen.

If there are no public folder databases on the server, you can add one to the new storage group. For detailed steps about how to add a public folder database, see How to Create a New Public Folder Database.
